In September 2013, the Government announced that schools would receive an additional £8,000 [plus £5 per pupil between the ages of 5-11 years old] to improve the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
Having researched how best to spend this money to ensure it has a long-lasting impact, the staff decided to invest this year’s grant into professional development of teachers at our school so they are best equipped to teach high quality Physical Education and school sport for years to come. We also wish to invite coaches who specialise across a range of sports into the school to inspire our children through demonstrations and activities.
